EXPERIENCE COUNTS!

Mr. Melvin Lewis, is our Founder and Chief Advisor with over 50 years of experience in the martial arts. He is 7th Dan, Kyoshi DNBK and 8th Dan ISKA. Professionally, he is a retired social worker now living in St. Augustine Florida. He is the competitive team advisor for Lion’s Den Karate in St. Augustine and regularly visits Louisville Shotokan Karate and our two sister schools, Cable Karate in Shelbyville, KY and Charlestown Shotokan Karate-Do in Charlestown, IN.

Mr. Allan George, Jr. is our Chief Instructor with over 30 years of experience in the martial arts. He holds the rank of Rokudan (6th level black belt) with Louisville Shotokan Karate and is a member of the DNBK. He served with the United States Army Reserves and National Guard for 30 years. Currently, he serves as a Probation and Parole officer with the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Mr. Thad Perrot, is one of our senior instructors with 30 years of martial arts experience and is a founding member of Louisville Shotokan. He holds the rank of Rokudan (6th level black belt) with Louisville Shotokan Karate. He is a retired Military Police officer and retired corporate sales manager.
